1. Advancing American Intellectual Capital:

This means advancing the prosperity and well being of every American. I have been advocating the implementations of the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Improvement Act of 1987 in our lives since 2003 when I launched my campaign for congress. Then my trade mark became “taking politics out of our lives and putting science in” when I ran for governor in 2004. I know the tremendous benefits of applying the art and science of management systems to our lives. Advancing American Intellectual Capital will bring the application of the art and science of management systems to the level of every individual American, i.e., to the level of the building block of the American society. I define the American Intellectual Capital (AIC) as “ the mental capacity to continually increase wealth and mastering it for the benefits of all man kind”

What is the American Intellectual Capital: It is an integral system of the following three components:

A. Efficiency of using time.

B. Health and nutrition.

C. Sound financial position.

Because every management system has to start with a base line measurements, I want every American from the age of eleven to start documenting (keeping records and log books) for three items:

1. Daily record of time, calculating the percentage of productive time for each day, the average for each month, quarter and yearly.

2. Daily calories and total carbohydrates in-take, then comparing it with the Recommended Dietary Allowances. Establishing goals for reduced calorie diet and record the percentage of reaching that goal on a daily, monthly, quarterly and yearly basis. Later on will introduce health risk factors and establishing its effect on that percentage.

3. Monthly financial records for net income, expenses, savings and investment, then savings and investments as percentage of net income for the year. Establishing savings goals and recording the percentage of reaching it.

Documenting these three parameters and setting goals to improve them on an annual basis will have the following affect on America:

1. Improve education and reduce poverty, students and workers will make the most productive use of their time.

2. Improve the health of the nation and reduce the cost of health care, people will eat more healthy food, practice healthy habits and avoid health risks.

3. Increase the wealth of Americans, lengthen their life expectancy and improve its quality, people will develop better financial awareness and conduct, save more and get ride of personal debt.

4. Improve the political process in America. As people become better educated, more healthy and wealthy they will be more secure and confident about their future and more prepared to face challenging issues like Social Security. The fear factor will be removed from their lives, they will be more intelligent and they will turn the table around on the politicians. The people will be in control.

5. This system will advance our intellectual capital in making us more smarter with our time, with our health, with our finances and with our politicians. It will need a leadership by the President to spearhead this transformation movement. I expect that in the future, the growth in the American Intellectual Capital Index will be as a significant indicator for the state of the economy as the growth in GDP. Also, I expect that other nations will copy this system. This is my crusade, I feel very strongly about its importance to our nation and our democracy.

2. Victory in Iraq and in the War Against Terrorism:

Almost all of our policy makers do not see a good way out of Iraq, they realize that we can't stay there because it cost us $100 Billion a year beside American lives and American image. Also, soon or later the Iraqi government will ask us to leave (no credible government will survive accepting the occupation of its land by foreign power). At the same time they know that if we leave now, the Iraqi civil war will result in tremendous suffering and may destabilize the entire middle east. However, I differ with our policy makers on this point. I can stabilize Iraq, convince the Iraqi people to get along and work together. The difference between me and our policy makers is in style and substance, besides, their assumptions are based on their experiences which is completely different than that of the people of Iraq.

I have available to me a huge reservoir of cultural, historical and spiritual resources that I share with the people of Iraq. I can use this knowledge to have a positive effect on their lives, get our troops out of Iraq safely, leave Iraq in good hands and build a tremendous good will towards America in the Middle East. In other wards, get us from there “smelling like roses”. I will succeed while others failed. In a very short period of time, with your help and support, I will turn the situation around to become one that is in favor of the United States.

Also, this will carry over to the war against terrorism, the war that the experts estimates to last for generations, I plan to win it in less than four years. I will be able to stop the recruitment of terrorist dead in its track and we will win the hearts and minds of about 1.3 billion people. The savings in the cost of war can be utilized to benefit Americans. I will be able more than any one else to affect progressive reforms in the middle east that will bring lasting peace between Israel and the Palestinians.

The question about the Constitution

Some times I am asked, you were born in Egypt, how can you run for US President?. My answer to that question can be summarized in the following points:

1. I was born in both Egypt and America: Since I have been in the public eye running for a political office, I have been declaring that I was born in two places. Born physically, by body in Egypt, at the same time, born spiritually, by soul in America and in 1977 when I came to America, the body and soul came together. I made this declaration in April 24, 2004 in Carrol, Iowa at the Iowa Fifth Congressional District Democratic Convention with more than five hundred delegates witnessing my declaration. I mentioned that through out my childhood, I had visions of being in America and during my high school years, spent a lot of time at the American Library reading about America and dreaming of coming to America.

2. I have the American Spirit in me: I ran against all odds for Congress then for Governor and now for President, driven only by the love for America and the spirit of our founding fathers. I wouldn't be able to do it without possessing the American Spirit. My love, care and sense of responsibility for America is no less than if my body was born in America.

3. The Fourteenth Amendment in 1868: Gave equal citizenship status for persons born in the United States and naturalized citizens “All persons born or naturalized in th United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside”.

4. I am in compliance with the spirit and intention of Article II of the US Constitution: The qualifications for the Office of the Presidency intended to prevent foreigners from occupying that office. The qualifications was introduced by the drafting committee of eleven and then adopted without discussion by the Constitutional Convention. Now, for me, a Naturalized American Citizen, who lived in the country for the last thirty years, have been a citizen for twenty four years, ran for Congress and Governor in his State, I am no foreigner and I am in compliance with the spirit and intention of the Constitution.

5. Senator John McCain is in a similar situation as me: Senator John McCain was born in the Panama Canal Zone. The First Naturalization Law in 1790 that gave him citizenship “And the children of citizens of the United States that may be born beyond sea, or out side the limits of the United States, shall be considered as natural born citizens” did not explicitly address Presidential qualifications, the same as the Fourteenth Amendment which gave all citizens equal protection under the law.

6. It is a necessity that we make a good use of our diversity: In our rapidly changing world “the global village” we will be faced with challenges that will require us to have a President who is very familiar with the culture and history of other parts of the world. These qualifications will not be always available from American citizens who were born in the country, but will be available from Naturalized American citizens.

What About Values

We came to America from every part of the world and became the most successful sons and daughters of the human family. What kind of values the successful sons and daughters will show when they try to steal from and cheat their cousins and relatives?. What kind of values do they show when they entice one relative against another?. What kind of values do they show when they use, abuse and disrespect their relatives?. What kind of family values are these?. Those are not the family values that I was raised on. The values I was raised on include the respect and care for my relatives, and I consider every member of the human family as my relative. This is how I would conduct my self as a President of the United States. Under my leadership, America not only will be prosperous, admired and a respected nation but also, will lay the foundation to create leaders all over the world who (in 2-3 generations) will share with us and implement our values and principles. The world will be a much safer and more peaceful place.

Salute to Our military Forces and Our military Families

Our nation will always be grateful to our military forces and our military families. In Iraq and Afghanistan, our military forces carried out their duties with great honor and courage. Their sacrifices are righteously made for our democracy and for our constitution not for Iraq or Afghanistan. They are the guardians of our constitution, they were ordered to march and they marched regardless of the soundness of the administration's decisions and objectives. Regardless of the outcome of the administration's campaign, our military forces had accomplished their mission, for that alone, we salute them.
